8 Series To Binge Watch After You Read The Raven Cycle

It’s been almost two weeks since I finished The Raven King, the last book in Maggie Stiefvater’s beautiful and magical The Raven Cycle. If you haven’t read The Raven Boys and its successors, I urge you to go out and pick it up right now. The series follows a group of teenagers who live in the fictional small town of Henrietta, Virginia. In search of a Welsh King, the group discovers that Henrietta is more magical than they ever dreamed, but the powerful magic also attracts dangerous elements and creatures to the town too that they must face.

If you’re like me and still hung up on The Raven King, here are eight amazing televisions series you can binge-watch right now to quell the longing. Similarly to The Raven Cycle, all of these series have fantastic characters, beautiful world building, and more magic than they can contain. (Black Mirror focuses more on technology and science, but science is magic. Some of the devices the writers came up with could be right out of the Greywaren’s dreams!) Yes, I have actually watched all of these shows and I love every single one of them immensely.

Keep reading to discover your next favorite show.

    The Monday Musts #2

The Monday Musts is a weekly meme hosted by Jessica at Lovin’ Los Libros in which we talk about our must reads, must listens, and must sees of the week!

    Must Read
If you are one of the few people in the world who haven’t read The Raven Cycle by Maggie Stiefvater, then I urge you to do so. Okay, I still haven’t read The Raven King (even though I made a big fuss about buying it when it came out). I’ve had every opportunity to read it, but honestly, I just don’t want it to end!

    • The Place

Cabeswater is the magical forest where the trees speak Latin. Blue Sargent and The Raven Boys discover Cabeswater during their quest to wake the Raven King. It exists along the lay lines in Henrietta, Virginia. It’s described as a beautiful, and magical place where things exist simply because you believe them to exist. When you exist inside of Cabeswater, time becomes irrelevant and nothing is ever as it seems. An important resident of Cabeswater is The Dream Tree, a tree that shows you your dreams; real or not real is yet to be determined. I would love to visit Cabeswater, because I imagine it to be the most beautiful place in the world, and it would be because that’s what Cabeswater does.

    • The Guests

I would have a delicious and intimate tea date with Blue, Gansey, Adam, Ronan, and Noah. I’m obsessed with both this world and the characters. The friendship and love among the group is inexplicable, but nonetheless, beautiful. I would love to simply observe them as they interact with each other, but even more, I would love to be a part of such a close-knit group who love and admire each other so intensely. I’d also invite their creator, Maggie Stiefvater. Of course, Chainsaw would be in attendance. All of the book bloggers and booktubers rejected my invitation.

    • The Discussion

I want to learn everything there is to know about the Raven King, hear more about Gansey’s past adventures, listen to stories about the women of 300 Fox Way, and whatever else the guests fancy to share.

    • On the Menu

This is a sophisticated bunch. It would be simple with an assortment of exotic teas that Blue grabbed from the kitchen of 300 Fox Way and some overpriced but delicious pastries that Gansey felt compelled to contribute.
